My slow road to recovery didn’t include my guitar. In my mind, my skills had simply left me. Missing it terribly, I realized that time is finite. I decided to focus on what I COULD do so I picked up my guitar and just played; returning to my passion - music.
Today I’m living as I always have, surrounded by the love of family, a bevy of friendships, community and music, with the determination to play as long as I see smiles. With a consistent regimen of exercise, proper diet and rest, I’ve found a comfortable place with my disease.
It’s not winning, and I’m not losing.
